Guide Offers Clergy Resources to Help Addicted Individuals

 

A new guide from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is designed to provide members of the clergy with the basic information and skills needed to help addicted individuals and their families in their community.
The "Core Competencies for Clergy and Other Pastoral Ministers in Addressing Alcohol and Drug Dependence" and the "Impact on Families Members" guide provides information needed to address alcohol and other drug addiction before families and individuals are in a crisis.
